OK! Now Why Do I Go To School Again???

We go to school to get a good education,to learn basic values of life and to be prepared to fit into society when we are done with the academic world. The basic story despite what you and I may say or think,we all go to school to get good grades so that we can get a good job with a fat paycheck. Correct me if am wrong but that my honest belief. So why do i gotta "do all that time" in school and study things that have no bearing to whatever i'm goin to be doing in the real world. Study sine, cosine & tangents,as if that helps balance my account. Well but some others got it good. They are born, find out they can play a sport and are like what the heck,am going get my meal ticket playing this sport. I mean they play for fun and games and get paid millions and we watch em and enjoy it..."Imagine that!"
Nowadays thanks to the annual Forbes list of best-paid athletes, you can talk ad nauseum about how much moolah Tiger Woods makes for hitting balls with a graphite stick or why Michael Schumacher has a fat account for constantly wanting to drive his car the fastest. Did I here you say "i can do that"? It may be murder on the self-esteem, but who doesn't love peeking into the deep pockets of the rich? Still, why shouldn't we bother,i mean we pay to watch then so watch them we will and in everything to, especially that fat check. Tiger Woods $87 million, Michael Schumacher $60 million, Oscar De La Hoya $38 million, Michael Vick $37.5 million, Michael Jordan $33 million, Shaquille O'Neal $33 million, David Beckham $32.5 million, Kobe Bryant $28.8 million, Lance Armstrong $28 million, Valentino Rossi $28 million. So now that we did the math, what did we learn about athletes who earn big?
Final Lesson: Learn a sport, perfect the sport like your life depended on it, play the sport and wham! Money money money.....

I never worry bout fading into obscurity why, because i wont,i cant. CENSUS,Why Bother?

The Nigerian government decided to embark on its first national headcount in 15 years. The census which began on the 21st of March enters its third day amid clashes between police and separatists, attacks on counters and protests by disgruntled census workers. Nine people, three policemen and six vigilantes were killed in a shootout Monday night in the southern Nnewi (town in eastern Nigeria) market town when security forces tried to search a house for suspected Biafran nationalists, according to police. In Onitsha, census counters said they had refused to go into the field after several of them were attacked with machetes and acid and their census documentation forms were taken from them by suspected MASSOB activists. The census was disrupted for a second day in northern Nigeria after hundreds of counters continued their protests, saying their wages had not yet been paid. However, in many other parts of the country including a rain-drenched commercial capital Lagos, the exercise was slowly getting underway. I'm just waiting to see the overall outcome of all this, lets hope we get through with it peacefully.

MIXED TWINS....One white,One Black!

When Kylie Hodgson gave birth to twin daughters by caesarean section, she was just relieved that they had arrived safely. It was only when the midwife handed them over for her to hold that she noticed the difference between them. Remee, who weighed 5lb 15oz, was blonde and fair skinned. Her sister Kian, born a minute later weighing 6lb, was black.

'Our two gorgeous little girls'
"It was a shock when I realised that my twins were two different colours," said Kylie, 19. "But it doesn't matter to us - they are just our two gorgeous little girls."The amazing conception happened after two eggs were fertilised at the same time in the womb. Both Kylie and her partner Remi Horder, 17, are of mixed race. Their mothers are both white and their fathers are black.According to the Multiple Births Foundation, baby Kian must have inherited the black genes from both sides of the family, whilst Remee inherited the white ones.

The Sun Is Going Away,But Don't Panic...

The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has alerted Nigerians of an impending solar eclipse in parts of the country on March 29. In a statement, the Ministry said the eclipse would be total in Kwara State and six other states namely: Oyo, Ogun, Niger, Kebbi, Katsina and Zamfara. The statement explained that solar eclipse is a natural occurrence and is not caused by witches or wizards or any other sources. The Kwara State Government has in the meantime called on residents of the State to remain calm and avoid any undue panic during the eclipse, which is expected to last thirty minutes beginning from a quarter after ten in the morning. In an official statement, the government assured that law-enforcement agents have been put on alert to checkmate mischief makers and criminal who might want to use the occasion to cause havoc or disturb the peace of law-abiding citizens. Residents have also been advised to avoid looking at the sky with the bare eyes throughout the phases of the eclipse. Meanwhile, Churches, Mosques, Schools, Town unions and community leaders have been urged to join in the effort to educate their adherents and people on the need to remain calm and peaceful during the eclipse. Solar eclipse occurs when the new moon passes in-between the sum and the earth and the moon blocks the rays of the sun. Nigeria experienced the first total eclipse in 1898 others followed in 1947 and 1959, while Borno state experienced partial eclipse in 2001. "Cant We All Just Get Along"

You've probably heard of the recent protest and uproar following the comical representation of the Muslim prophet Mohammed. Its against the belief of muslim create any image of anything be it living or non living either in form of pictures or drawings or even castings i.e statues etc, thus the comical representation of the prophet Moohammed has caused greviances in certain quarters.
Thousands of children chanting "Hang those who insulted the Prophet" have taken part in a rally against cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. Around 5,000 youngsters - mainly aged 8 to 12 and some in school uniform - marched in Karachi. In Pakistan, voilent militants torched a coffin draped in US, Israeli and Danish flags at a traffic intersection in the port city as police in riot gear looked on. Pakistani police resorted to tear gas to stop a protest in Islamabad over the Prophet Mohammed cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper, which again apologized, while in Northern Nigeria troops enforced a curfew after the bloodiest rioting yet. The streets of the Pakistani capital were littered with tear gas canisters after police dispersed youths trying to reach the capital's heavily guarded diplomatic enclave, and made baton charges when they hurled stones. In Nigeria soldiers patrolled two cities after 16 people died and 11 churches were torched in rioting Saturday which targeted the Christian minority. A Catholic priest was among the victims.

NOTICE HOW HARD IT IS TO STUDY?

Do you ever wonder why its so hard to sit your posterior down and joyfully pick up your academic materials and actually study without being asked to or preparing for an upcoming examinaton? I mean to folks like ME,its torture just going thriugh a 100 + pages of absolute jagonz. Do you think I care if the differrentiated value of 4x is 4. What do i care, how is that my business. Does it put money in my pocket...why do we even go to school for almost all our youthful life. Its luducris! Why do i have to study "History of Economic Thought" for 2 years in the university. I learn bout Aristotle and Plato etc how they sat and wasted their time thinking of what i have no idea about rather than making money. As I sit here, I have the birth and death date of over 20 top historical economists. I have to study all this for an exam and yet not one of these was asked in the exmaz, talk bout a real case of the dead disturbing the living. Why I ask should i care...I dont know,so I guess thats why I find it hard to study,it baffles me. Maybe YOU can help me out. So holla back and help me out cus i feel we study lots of garbage that are never applicable in the real world. To me its utter stupidity. So can u help me???

GUNNERZ GO THROUGH.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger lavished praised on his under-strength side as they knocked out Real Madrid to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.He said after a goalless draw gave Arsenal a 1-0 aggregate win: "To play two games against Real and not concede a goal shows remarkable spirit.Wenger praised goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who produced several fine saves to seal Arsenal's place in the last eight. He saved crucially from Raul and Wenger said: "One or two times we were lucky - and we needed that great save from Lehmann. The save was very important." Wenger admitted he was surprised to be the last Premiership team in the competition after the exit of Chelsea and Liverpool. Arsenal captain Thierry Henry added: "We are going through maybe not in the Arsenal way - but we are through. "It was a proper game. It had everything, a bit of tension at the end. It was not a boring 0-0. "We didn't concede a goal home or away against Real Madrid - that is something special." MAN OF THE MATCH: Cesc Fabregas. This young man has cone of age in the two ties against Real Madrid and he was exceptional in the Arsenal midfield against his superstar opponents. ARSENAL VERDICT: With Henry as their leader and a talented pack of terriers scrapping behind him, the Gunners may just be decent dark horses to go close to Champions League glory this season. They are certainly as good as the Liverpool side that lifted the trophy last May.

THE BATTLE AT HIGHBURY!

Arsenal are called to stepup to the plate and face this gruesome enemy (Real Madrid) in tomorrow's Champion's league tie at highbury. Its a battle to the death almost litrally for both sides.Arsenal won the first leg 1-0 away at the Bernabeu, the feat was the first of its kind amongst british clubs. No british club had defeated Real Madrid in Spain before but Arsenal broke that record with some superb display of how football should be played.Madrid were fortunate not to have lost by more than one as Arsenal missed several mouthwatering goalscoring chances.Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal are more than halfway to securing a place in the Champions League quarter-finals ahead of their second leg with Real Madrid.Arsenal take a 1-0 advantage into Wednesday's game at Highbury and Wenger said: "We want to finish off the job."The game seems a David versus Goliath battle but Arsenal are more than capable of doing "a david" and defeat Real Madrid, expect the compact pitch to be a key factor in the game.I predict either a firy goaless draw or atleast a 2-1 scoreline, for who this favours....well we'll all have to wait and see!
