You must have seen it,heard about it,read it and very soon,you'd be able to watch the movie BUT is Dan Brown actually conveying facts or fiction,nay,blasphemy.I mean Mr Brown seems to have some personal vandetta against the church or christianity as a whole as his seeks to batter at the Faith.In publishings namely "Angels and Demons" and the "Da Vinci Code",he just seems to attack the foundation of the Christian faith and its spiritual head JESUS CHRIST. I, for one heard all the brouhaha about the what i feel is utter garbage and foolishness being propergated by Mr Brown and decided to investigate it personally and yes it did even exceed expectation.Had Dan been even an 18th century author,there is no doubt he would have been tried for herecy.The blasphemous "facts" that the book Da Vinci Code holds is not only mind buggling but also incredulous.Brown attimes in his writtings almost seems to be testing God in a manner saying...come down and defend your son's religion...Insinuating that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were an "item" and even had offsprings is utter insanity.The heretic gospel contained in this book is enough to waver an unsound christian's faith.
According to him,Jesus passed his ministry to his wife Mary, but she was pushed out of her postion of authority by a jealous Simon Peter and also that Mary was made to look like a harlot by the church so as to put men in a superior postion in the church is complete lunacy.These "facts" either by Da Vinci himself of by Dan Brown hold no water and in my opinion should be completely disregarded.
Although Leonardo DaVinci was one of the great minds of his time with many fasinating works including his world famous The Mona Lisa,personally I feel he got it completely wrong when he delved into biblical matters.His words and works are completely misleading on the issue and should have stuck to science,arts,architecture and the likes.
But hey,you have a choice to believe what you want but,its better to believe the TRUTH.

K i shudn really drop a comment on this...but I jus read both books and I think I shud. True talk when u say its something of a controversy...and I can only but tolerate other religions...but as a theory of knowledge student I have learnt that sometimes we shud debate what we know to be knowledge if we want to attest its authenticity. No doubt Brown has captured the world. He talks like hes got some facts....i know its hard to say u shud read it with an open mind....but y hasn the catholic church come out to decry his ideas? The catholic church has always had a controversial history and they can never deny it. They did kill scientists and still have something against science. Theres too much about the world we dont know. Brown might be wrong, but theres the possibility that hes got some ground sayin what he says. Religion is dear to us all...but never forget how to use reason and emotion to distinguish between belief and knowledge....remember that essay Junior? Facts are shocking...the world is a bit more complicated than we think. there ARE powers sitting and havin round table discussions on the world and controlling it. I am a TOK student and I KNOW that. right....i havent sat down to read any of Dan Brown's books but i've listened to a couple of my friends talk about some of the stuff contained in them time and time again with such relish, that i shouldnt have a problem doing a clumsy narration of The Davinci Code, at least.Furthermore,I watched a documentary not too long ago, the object of which was to 'justify' the substance contained in The Davinci Code what with all the controversy around what some people would term a 'delicate subject'.I really do not know where to begin on this topic - such an affront to what has for generations been the bedrock of the christian faith is such astounding profanity,to say the very least. The way that documentary went, it was clear someone somewhere totally lost the plot.One thing contradicted the other with such flagrant disregard for logic that cannot have gone unnoticed even to the staunchest pagan.
Blasphemous measures(if u like) of this sort as well as their resulting debates/unwholesome arguments cannot be avoided as satan is working overtime to distract a lot of people from the simple truth of the Gospel.Jerry Springer -The Opera- is another reference point.
I decline to continue on this topic but those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits.Dan who?? Jerry what???
