Highbury....The Final Bow!

It was a script written in heaven and played out by men who were viewed as superheroes. On the final day of the season,in the final game of highbury stadium,the home of Arsenal for the past 93 years, the gunners finally got what had eluded them all season long... a champion's league spot. The day was already abuzz with final days celebrations but captain Henry and his men had much more fanfare instore for the highbury faithfuls who thrung week in and week out to support their beloved club. Arsenal went ahead early but Wigan tried to spoil the party by goung 2-1 up but cometh the moment,cometh the man. Henry stepped up his game to close out his highbury career with a hat-trick,Henry scoring a 76th minute penalty to complete the feat. Henry sent Pollitt the wrong way - and dropped to his knees in homage to the North Bank faithful.Thus closing out highbury's last fotball match with a win for the guners. News filtering in from Upton park of Spurs loss sent the highbury fans in rapturous celebrations. Finally they had a foot in next season's champion's league...C u on May 17,where d gunners become European champions!
