OK,so here we are in the finalz...wana know what happens.Its here heroes are made,villians are formed,character and strenght are tested to the max.Its win or bust,ball or fall,takeover or go home,show me d money(50 grand to be exact)...so lets watch it unfold...
Its 4:20pm.The final game of the one-day 6 team(later 5) competition.
My team,the team in grey versus the blue team.We start the same team that outclassed our first opponents i.e Shakespare(me) @ point/shooting guard.Steven @ shooting/point guard,Lere 1 small forward,Tola at power forward and Space(Deji) @ center.Lanre sits out the tip-off.
Jump ball,am off got off the screen and drop the 3,i hear the ref whisper to his assistant "here we go again".This blue team ball hard and got wicked zone defence man.I mean they were stuffing us out and space wuz outsized by atleast 2 inches in the center so u know we had it ruff.I missed shot after shot,to be honest i didnt make another 3 pointer after the first one.I got pissed off by our sloppy play and how we culdnt get past their defence,twas sickening.I got so pissed ater one turnover that i kicked the ball outta d court,ofcourse i got the technical and my teammates told me to slowdown and let the game come to me.After that i threw up 3 more misses then i got so frustrated i checked out of the game.
"Cometh the moment,cometh the man."In steps Lanre,the undersized guard at 5'8.He completely took over,assist after assist,running that point like it was his pops personal business.Thenn i was on my feet again cheerin my teammates on,i mean that was the best i culd do.We started closing up the gap and then Lanre hit a 3..wow.1 point game now.I was mad with joy screamin at my guys to do it man,go go go go!!!Lanre again,steal fast break assist steven scores the point and is fouled.We up by 2.Tola on "D" blocks a shot sends it to Lanre again on the next play dishes off to Lere and to Steven who finds Space shot...we up 3....10 secs left.They hit a 3,its level again.I check baq in for Tola.We on d fast break,steven scores and gets the foul.Free throw's good...GAME.....WE ALL ERUPT AND GO CRAZY.WWHHHHUUUUUTTTTTTTTTT! WE DID IT,WE WON.We the baddest ballerz on the bloq y'all and yeah for y'all who's bin asking....WE WON THE 50 Geez but that aint it.Its the pride of being King of the Court for atleast a year.See you next Xmas!!!
